What topic for the diploma to choose (with an economic bias)?

This situation:
I have an engineering and economic specialty, but you can say that it's just economics.
I need to write my thesis. The data for the diploma are taken at the enterprise ( they must be taken ), where you are undergoing pre-diploma practice.
I am planning to do an internship at an IT company that develops software. This somewhat complicates the matter, since in this case it is difficult to come up with a topic for a diploma so that it is related to the economy.
The structure of the diploma is as follows:
1 part - theoretical (you describe your topic)
2 part - practical (here are calculations of something, such as expenses)
3 part - you suggest what can be improved (for example, this improvement will increase income, reduce costs, etc. )
1)In general, what topics can you think of for a diploma? Please write your options.
PS Here are some of my ideas in general terms:
For example, a company uses an outdated project management methodology (although this is hardly possible in an IT company), or this model is used inefficiently.
1st part of the diploma - I describe the general essence of development methods (SCRUM, AGILE, etc.)
2nd part - I describe how a company uses some kind of development model, I give salary data, some other data when using this model
3rd part - I say how you can optimize the current model or replace it with another one to improve work efficiency. I explain that this will reduce costs, increase company income, etc.
2)What do you think of such a thesis topic?
3) The data for the diploma must be taken from the enterprise, although I think I can invent some of them or all of them. Have you met similar cases?

Let's just say that the data can be invented) no one will check what exactly you did during your undergraduate practice. So choose any topic that is close to you. I would choose some kind of miscalculation based on the data.
For example, to calculate whether it is profitable to make a deposit, taking into account inflation. Or in what currency is it more profitable to deposit a deposit, taking into account inflation. Or calculate depreciation or net profit at the enterprise.
With methodologies, I don’t see point-blank where economic and engineering are.
The task should be economic and programmatically do some calculations based on the data.

The topic with the analysis of the economic efficiency of the software development methodology is fun, interesting, yes. But, in general, when choosing a topic, it is best to consult with the head or with the head of the department - they will prompt in more detail both on the choice of topic and on the wording. By the way, the wording is very important, which was a revelation for me. For example, a bachelor of software engineering, by definition, cannot write a WRC on the development of an entire system into one, at most a subsystem or module.
Well, as a variant of another topic - an analysis of the economic efficiency of automating business processes at some enterprise. Here, an IT company, of course, is not very suitable, because it will be difficult to find at least some kind of power supply for automation. But if you search...
Well, if you change direction, you can start building a mat model for some algorithmic trading robot.
Well, about the data for the diploma - they have already been said above that they can simply be invented. And most likely it will have to be done, because. most of the real data of the company can simply be closed, and no one will give permission to use it in work.

Hmm, wouldn't it be more logical to write on a topic in which there is real experience?
What kind of specialty is that? Well, it would be good to understand the subject area of development.
