The system allows you to analyze costs by sections: project, workpackage, task, deliverables, requirement, action by team, performer, all performers.
Task: there is a rather demanding customer who likes to participate in all stages of development and be interested in progress. It is necessary to choose a tool that would allow him to find out the necessary data at a convenient moment and at the same time not to pull the manager every time. The problem with a self-written system is that it is not very client-oriented - there are no beautiful graphs, charts, calendars. Therefore, you need a tool that will allow you to organize maximum beauty at minimal cost. What have you seen and why not.
Asana is quite convenient and fast, but there are few analytics, the status of tasks is not fully understood, and there is not enough gantt, although it is not required.
Jira is convenient to track the progress of the project, low cost for up to 10 people, but at the same time it will have to be configured and keep the data up to date, it also requires a significant resource.
What would you recommend as simple and cheap as possible in this case?

The customer was asked - does he need to see all these bells and whistles? Maybe it’s worth showing what is, rather than wasting time on implementing new tracking, and looking for alternatives only if the customer doesn’t figure it out?
