What to use to control MAC OS? Scripts, terminal?

Hello, I want to optimize the routine work in poppy and I can't figure out where to start.
For example:
1. I want to use a key combination (another trigger) to make texteditite collapse when text is copied into it.
2. Or give a task - after loading the chrome page, scroll through this page to the very bottom.

Please tell me, is this real? How to start learning it, from bash/terminal, from Apple Script? and In general, will these tools help me in the task?

for chrome, the simplest is userscript.
in general, for makosi, the best thing is applescript + automator.
