sheet a4
first third of the sheet: description of the idea, UTP
second third: calculation of profitability, ARPU, break-even point
last third: why do you think that item 2 is correct - market overview, competitors' profitability estimates, personal experience
There is a good new business plan format by A. Osterwalder, made for potential investors, on the A4 format the main components are revealed: customer segment, benefits, promotion channel, customer relations, income, main resources, activities, partners, expenses
- very briefly about the project, what is the essence and what is new in it (for example, we solve a specific problem that no one has solved so far, or something else) - in fact, we show the PRODUCT
- we analyze the market, we look who is in this area, what offer and why your product is better - we show TO WHOM WILL SELL
- marketing - we show HOW WE WILL SELL THEM
- then a description of how it works, a description of the pros and cons, the current stage, what has been done, etc.
- a roadmap - a mini checklist, according to which it is planned to move
- information about the Project team - who is the founder and owner, experience, education, regalia + who else is there and all the information about them
- costs
- a short financial model with a reasonable sales plan and all key indicators: NPV, IRR, EBITDA
Lean Canvas, a convenient tool for creating - https://app.leanstack.com/products (you need to register), how and what is detailed - everything is in the article habrahabr.ru/post/243263/. This is a modified Osterwalder model, which was described above. Helps bring everything together and provides the basis for a competent risk assessment.
I agree, the business plan is yesterday. In the dynamic field of startups, no one will study tons of paper. The ability to succinctly put an idea on paper and "sell" it is a key component of success. In general, from their own experience, they invest more not in an idea, but in a team.
