What to read on http requests?

Good afternoon!
I've never been interested in the question of how sites load. It seemed to me that these were only html pages. I want to understand how it all works. How does a "site" determine who is connected to it and what needs to be done?
I understand that networks are different? Need to know http requests. Or maybe something else basic, tell me, please?
And what literature to read?

Strangely enough, Wikipedia should suffice from more. For a deeper understanding of all sorts of things like keep-alive and other things, you need to read the HTTP spec already and understand more deeply why establishing a TCP connection is a rather fat operation in terms of time. Although the wiki should roughly hint.

The server does not respond in Japanese. Everything is much more than simpler and clearer than after reading a bunch of literature in your head, everything will only become more complicated and nothing will be clear.
Not well, if 5 pages of terms with dependencies and a bunch of extras. parameters/functions is easier than, roughly speaking, 5 lines of 2-3 words each... Then go ahead the wiki and so on.
Ps If it's really hard, I can advise (contact in profile)
