What to read about UML?
Good day, dear ones! Advise what to read for the correct start of working with UML and what later, after the start;) Preferably in Russian, but if there is nothing sensible in Russian, then English is quite suitable.

Offhand (there are more of them, but these are nearby)
* UML. Basics. A Brief Guide to the Standard Object Modeling Language (Martin Fowler)
Very thin, for a couple of evenings to get acquainted
* UML. User Manual (Butch Grady)
More detailed than the first, perhaps the best place to start.
*UML. Dedicated Reference (James Rumbaugh)
Very handy as a desktop reference
* Use of UML and design patterns. (Craig Larman)
* UML 2 and the Unified Process: Practical Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (Jim Arlow) Have
n't gotten to the details yet, but they're needed for a more advanced level, you can do without them to begin with.
You can read the UML specification in English, it definitely has everything :)
After the start, look towards the Visual Paradigm for UML programs (the most advanced), Enterprise Architect (the cheapest, perhaps, but after the first one the interface is not very convenient, because . a lot of extra steps), there is also IBM Rational Software Architect (monstrous and slow, IMHO).
do not waste time, read something about algorithms is better. will be much more useful. I speak as a programmer and analyst with great experience :).
For starters, there is no better book from Fowler - everything is extremely short and clear.
I haven't read much about UML since I just started learning about design. I'm currently reading Martin Fowler. For starters, it's really cool.
