What to do with the new SSD?
Greetings. I purchased an ssd from samsung for a laptop and a sled for my current hdd. At the moment, there are two windows and ubuntu systems on the hdd. The essence of the question is how best to proceed:
- using the software from Samsung, transfer disk C with Windows to a new ssd, scoring it on ubuntu (now 120GB is occupied on the disk; ssd is 240)
- just roll up a clean ten
On ubuntu, as I understand it, in any case, you have to score .
So, what is the difference and how critical is it?

If the size of the SSD is greater than or equal to the size of the old drive, you can migrate the old drive sector by sector, along with UBUNTU.
You will need a Live-CD and the dd command in particular.
Well, in the first method, all software and settings will be saved, and in the second there will be a bare system
