What to do with old HP ipaq rx5700 PDA?

An unnecessary one is lying around, but I would like to find a use. Once upon a time there was a project to port Linux OS to such devices. What is the current status of this project? Maybe there are other alternatives?

What about the meaning? Such a device belongs in a museum. It makes sense to spend energy on porting something under it only for the purpose of one's own self-education.

I use a similar one as a video player, notebook and calculator. Given how popular Android's etc. are now, not very modern, but cheap.

If you have a cradle, use it as a photo frame :)
Well, if you still want to install Linux, then I advise you to dig towards Familiar Linux

Familiar Linux is a replacement for Windows CE on iPAQ machines and other personal digital assistants (PDAs). It can use OPIE or GPE Palmtop Environment palmtop environments. Familiar Linux is a complete operating system with many applications.

Does it have wi-fi?
Two options:
1. install skype or sip-dialer on it and use it as a phone.
2. if there is a webcam above the door in the corridor, then attach the PDA to the wall (power up) and open the page with the image from the camera in the browser.
Both options have been tormenting me for a long time, but I'm not going to try everything.
If there is no wi-fi, then give it to someone, and there are already those who wish! :)

If it is on liquid crystals, then a diffraction grating can be made from the display elements!
