What to do with an unreasonably low score for work on upwork?

Hello. Please help me figure it out. I am new to upwork. I got a client, I drew a character for him for a short story as a test task for $10. After sending the test, the client disappeared and did not respond to emails. Appeared after 1.5 weeks in an evil form (although before that he spoke pleasantly) said that the character is not beautiful and I can make a payment - they will pay. I politely said that different people understand differently what beautiful means, and if he explains to me what exactly he doesn’t like, I will correct it. Again they began to talk pleasantly, a week later they sent edits after the edits disappeared again and did not get in touch again. My level is pretty good, not top at all, but above average. Show work is not ashamed in general. As a result, the client gave me, in my opinion, an unreasonable score in the form of Skills - 3, Quality - 3. Well, everyone actually has a different concept of quality, and therefore I think it would be useless to open a dispute. Upworka already wrote to the technical support there, it looks like robots are sitting there. What can I do in my case. The client did not respond and does not respond. Job Success, he has already notably spoiled me by 63%. there were still few orders, although all the rest had 5 and good reviews. This is $ 10 at such a price, of course, I don’t need it. If I refound, will this job disappear from the list of my jobs (it is clear that the impact on Job Success will remain and this cannot be changed)? Should the client still accept this refund or can he also refuse. Because The client refuses to communicate with me at all, I do not even discuss this with him. If I do a refund, should I have funds directly to upwork (if upwork has already transferred them to paypal and it has 0)? I would be grateful for any advice on my situation. Take it for granted, evaluation is not the point of all your work.
As you say, how many people - so many opinions, well, take it the same way.
Only in this way, if you do not spit, will you reach the standard when it will please or at least satisfy the majority.

Recently, again, due to the specifics of the work, the yus market is needed, in general, I brought out one important thing while working with him, they are friendly, do not hesitate to write once again about the progress of the task, about possible problems and difficulties. They greatly appreciate the parameter as communication. And this is also a fact.
At the moment, I have 100% positive feedback everywhere, to the maximum, everywhere. I got stupidly a couple of three messages in the course of work, and after that also, don’t be lazy if it’s appropriate to ask if you liked working with you, if there were any problems and ask for feedback if this parameter on the site is not required, but optional.
You will immediately see a change in the attitude of a particular partner and society as a whole.
As for the third world countries, xs) I don’t want to deal with them in any way.
And as for the assessment, don’t take it as the main thing, do your job, communicate, and as a result, against the background of the rest of the positive ones, ask to change this one if possible and if it is necessary at all.

Regarding the test task and the beginner:
Why? Present yourself as an expert, why repeat that you are a beginner? Newbies are always biased. Few will support you, it's easier to use.
It doesn’t matter that you even have yesterday’s registration, who cares, you are not obliged to answer the question “why”, just argue your skills and desire to develop.

Не работать с третьим миром, там люди злые, жизнь тяжелая, отношение к окружающим соотвествующее.
Хотя может не повезти с заказчиком из европы и США, но вероятность меньше, в основном попадаются люди адекватные.

Там можно к отзывам прикреплять соответствующую картинку из портфолио. Подлинкуйте своего персонажа туда, все поймут что оценка не адекватная (или наоборот ))

1) Don’t bother with reviews, when I started, I was also afraid of all this, but then I just saw a bunch of profiles in which reviews were 2 to 3 and then they were quietly taken to a high rate without any problems
2) JSS, even God himself does not know how it is calculated
Refound, in theory, it will remove this work from the profile altogether, just in case, I would knock on support with the problem that the customer is ignoring and you want to remove the review. But most likely they will say to make a refund.
And design is such a thing that everyone has a taste and color, as they say, so reviews here can be completely different.

Experience shows that beginners collect the worst customers, literally digging out from under the ground, this, unfortunately, can only be treated with experience. As experience is gained, in the long run, quality work inevitably leads to Top Rated. Top Rated allows you to remove one (no matter how inadequate) review per quarter from your profile and Job Success through Support. In this matter, the leadership of Upwork, apparently, is guided by the Bible - “to everyone who has it will be given and it will be multiplied, but from the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away” (Matthew 25:29)

Why does no one advise to return the money to the customer? If the income from the project is less than $1, then the review is not shown anywhere.
Has anything changed in this regard?

If you have a good portfolio, then the rating is not important. You can always say "inadequate ordered and sent." And so if they ask for a test task for more than 2-3 hours (or how much you don’t mind), then this is either an inadequate customer, or you are drawing slowly. Business is business.
