What to do with a tablet with a broken power button?
Given: the "domestic" tablet Irbis under Android (actually, selected China, but I liked it) fell on concrete.
Symptoms: the tablet does not turn on from the button, it turns on only by connecting the USB cable. When the cable is disconnected, it continues to work until the screen turns off for the first time. The battery works, everything else does too.
Diagnostics: it was not the button itself that was damaged, but the conductor between the power button and the corresponding leg of the microcircuit.
Question: what can be done with a piece of iron? You don’t want to throw away a complex piece of iron that has a failure in one far from the most important bit.
Options:
1. Repair.
1.1 Attempts to find at least some documentation on hardware are futile.
1.2 You can somehow use the ability to turn on from USB. For example, hang a button on the connector so that it pulls the correct signal, and the little animal comes to life.
2. Use it somehow else. I don’t even know how, for example, stationary (what can be done?).
I will consider any options. Thanks in advance!
