What to do the content part in the online store?
I am redesigning an online store. It currently has a 1208 px content area. I looked at other online stores, they all have very different areas, I met 1366, 1400, 1500, 1200, 1140, 1180 ... What is the reason for choosing such sizes? Why is it so different for everyone and which one is better to choose?

The main task of the online store: to focus the attention of the visitor and SELL !
And what is the size of the content block - this is the 10th thing already.
60% of the page width should be enough.
The area depends on the mentality of the country of the store creator. Compare British and American stores. The first ones are stuck in the 90s and are very afraid of page sizes over 1000px and fonts larger than 14. And Americans love everything large.
