What to do if the macbook detects the monitor as a projector?
There was a following problem, all I can not understand in any way.
There are two computers from Apple:
1) Macbook Pro 13 "Late 2011 (High Sierra 10.13.6)
2) Macbook Air 13" Early 2014 (BigSur 11.2.1)
The problem is this: I bought myself an adapter from mini displayport to HDMI.
Gembird A-mDPM-HDMIF4K-01 ( https://www.21vek.by/cables/amdpmhdmif4k01_gembird.html )
When connected from a Macbook Pro to a TV, the Mac detects it as a projector and there is no signal on the TV. Although in the Monitors tab it defines both a monitor and a TV icon.
When connecting macbook air - everything is fine, sound and video are transmitted and there are no problems.
Why is this happening? Maybe something needs to be updated or installed? Tried googling - didn't find anything.
UPD: Adding screenshots

Identified as a projector

In general, I returned the wire "Gembird A-mDPM-HDMIF4K-01" and purchased "Cablexpert A-mDPM-HDMIF-02-W" (Difference from the first wire in the absence of support for 4K @ 30 Hz, in the new cable 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz) I checked it on a Dell 24" Full HD monitor, everything works as it should, I'll unsubscribe a little later about checking it on TV.
I suspect that my MacBook is very outdated for a 4K cable ;)
If you have the same problem - buy a new adapter Special
