Perhaps you use a lot of tabs. Not enough RAM.
Check installed extensions, as well as the number of open programs on the OS.
Another option: insufficient hard disk space. Nowhere to drop the cache.

Such a transition is possible due to the fact that the current Edge is the same Chrome (they have the same engines).
After running it and cloning all the settings from my Chrome (there is such an option), I found that some sites that were obscene or slow in Chrome acted without problems in Edge. One such site is AliExpress.
