What to do if a crack on the phone screen imitates a tap on the screen area?

I dropped my phone a month ago. There was a scratch that didn't bother me much. But this morning I noticed that the phone itself began to open applications. After I enabled the "show presses" function in the developer options, my hypothesis was confirmed that the scratch presses on the phone's screen in such a way that it simulates pressing on the screen.
Naturally, it is impossible to use it normally, so I ask for help.
What can be done? Maybe through some menu to turn off a small part of the screen? Is there such an application? Maybe you can somehow write such a program yourself? (There was an android programming course at the university, I can write simple applications) Or maybe there are some mechanical ideas?

1. You need to change not the screen, but the touch itself
2. Touch, etc. can occur not only from a crack, but also from static or even a bad charger
3. Perhaps there are prints on it or something that causes a touch
4. The touch itself is where the crack is slightly deformed, so you
can’t turn off the desired area, only touch screen replacement

Pull back with a suction cup. But I suspect it won't last long.
