What to choose wordpress or joomla?

I am creating my own project. I choose cms, I want to take a free one (for now, I think it will be normal if I find some significant disadvantages of MB for 1s-Bitrix, I will move). Look fell on Wordpress and Jooml'u.
What do you advise? What can be stumbling blocks in their use? Attendance is 1-5k per day, then it will be clear more, but you need to live until further.
The portal will be devoted to applications for android, file/s and, of course, a photo/video will be attached to almost every post.

Before jumping to conclusions in favor of WordPress, which is so cherished by most users who are completely unfamiliar with Joomla.

What can be stumbling blocks in their use?
long response and long processing of requests by the kernel.
I have tried Joomla, WPress and Drupal.
The main stones of the engines: page keywords, micro-markup, tags, sitemap ....
I.e. sluggishness in SEO.
As a result, I settled on a self-written code - just for articles.
UPD1: See here .
I on your place would do on Joomla'e. Because it is faster and has its own separate framework for further development.

Wordpress is lighter, more plugins and easier to find the answer to your question. Everything has already been described 1000 times. The main thing - first of all, pay attention to the problem of security. at WP it is lame.

consider Expression Engine, very easy and flexible to use, free.

KyIIpyM And you put both this and that on the test server, and try to solve your problem minimally. You will immediately understand which CMS is more convenient.
Personally, I will join the Wordpress shelf, as it is easy to learn and administer, works very quickly with properly configured caching, SEO friendly, which is very important, a lot of plugins, themes, guides, tips .. in general, a good engine. And the number of specialists on the market is large - development and support will cost less.
At one time I installed Joomla - this is something terrible, in my opinion. Problems with updates, performance, with SEO, and in general to figure it out - you can kill yourself.
Helped several running projects with fixing bugs with themes, etc. and vowed never to touch this CMS at all.
