What to choose - GWT or Vaadin?

Hello. We write projects (corporate portals) using GWT. Recently, we have begun to worry about the low productivity of programmers. We are now looking at Vaadin.
Is it true that Vaadin is more productive?
I know about the disadvantages, such as increased load on the server and traffic, but if you can develop on it in a shorter time, then why not try it.
I would like to hear your opinion.
Thank you.

Why don't third-party libraries like SmartGWT suit you? There's so much written already. And the channel is not clogged like Vaadina.

The speed of development really increases a lot.
There is a huge library of components, the 7th version will be released soon with a number of architectural improvements.
I choose Vaadin.

Increased traffic? What is this compared to?
We write on vaadin and feel dry and comfortable.
Clients work from tablets via EDGE, everyone is happy.
Development speed is high.

As long as you stick to standard components, performance really increases. As soon as you are no longer satisfied with the way they work, the productivity of programmers may drop again.
Plus, for example, we had a gag when users had to quickly fill out sprawling forms with validation, but due to the speed of the channel, they had to wait an unacceptably long time for the data to go to the server.
In general, try it, but be careful.

I advise you to look at a site such as knowledgeblackbelt.com/ . This is a typical Vaadin project. If his brakes don't scare you, then you can use Vaadin, if they scare you, then GWT. Although I would think 100 times whether it is worth writing in Java at all. I somehow switched from GWT to the Play Framework + jQuery + Knockout.js stack and still have no regrets. If programmers do not have a Java brain, then I advise you to try to use the right tool for each task. On a Java/Scala/Groovy server, on a JavaScript client. There are so many ready-made frameworks written in JS that hit GWT functionality 10 times)
But if the task is to rivet endless enterprise forms for a corporate intranet, then Vaadin will be a good choice for a GTW developer.
