I would like to make my own production cloud on 2+ hosts of the same type with information redundancy and automatic transfer of virtual machines between hosts in case of accidents.

XCP? Or the XEN hypervisor + Xen-toolstack. If you also screw Xen Remus, then HA will turn out simply transcendental;)
