What system to install on the n2840 processor?

It costs an intel n2840 processor, which system to install for comfortable use, browsers and YouTube, Facebook, etc.
windows 8.1 the system doesn’t really work to watch videos in 480, it’s buggy, the drivers are off the site. Windows 7 is also even worse, Windows 10 doesn’t get better, doesn’t support bios, tried many assemblies, nothing works. Maybe linux?

SSD drive?
Operatives - how many?
What video card and when did you update the drivers for it?
Windows - "cleaned" and tuned performance after installation?
Try this option.
If still Linux, I advise: https://manjaro.org/
xfce-170.png

Try Lubuntu, LXDE is right there

The processor is dead. But 480 should pull normally. Somewhere the driver was not installed.

Is there a cost for the chipset? Is video acceleration enabled in the browser?
Although he may not be friends with VP9.

First, disable all whistles in the OS interface, it uses at least one transparent texture above the browser window, which is guaranteed to cause performance problems on weak devices - first, check how youtube works after enabling the classic theme.
Install google chrome, this is not a panacea, but practice shows it better with iron support out of the box ... at least this will make it possible to understand whether it is worth trying to solve the problem further or that's it, there are no more options.
Is full screen video playback slow? usually in this mode, the video goes directly to the screen, bypassing the extra layer buffers and other slag.
ps on weaker machines, youtube usually puts a heavy load on the CPU, i.e. simple data loading (in pause mode), this is shocking, but such is the reality, the use of plugins that replace the html5 player with something faster can change it (I remember exactly under linux I installed a browser extension that launched youtube videos in a separate mplayer window, this is strong helped), try google browser plugin mplayer youtube. However, there is a problem, these extensions may no longer be supported.
The youtube-dl console utility supports youtube and a bunch of other streaming services very well, it is recommended to update it in a timely manner (that is, what comes standard with the ubuntu distribution kit most likely will not work or will be absent due to Google's struggle with similar ones), for example, with using pip (including on windows), i.e. you can not only play videos using her link, but also save them to disk (by default it merges video / audio streams), master a couple of tricks with ffmpeg and write a simple bash / cmd script and a couple of keystrokes will be enough for you to watch the video ( something like copy the link to the clipboard and press a combination of buttons that starts your script).
