What should I do if the monitor does not correctly detect the screen resolution?

There is a monitor with a resolution of 2560x1440.
Previously, it worked properly in tandem with a Radeon 280x card.
But today the card has been replaced by a Radeon HD7870, the firewood from 280x has been demolished beforehand.
After installing the latest firewood on the HD 7870, the monitor resolution is not set higher than 1920x1200 - that is, the monitor's native image cannot be set, since it is not in the selection scale.
Reinstalling firewood did not help. Manually in the card utilities do not set the resolution - swears at unsupported.
Where to dig?

@GavriKos

Try uninstalling the monitor driver and reboot after that.
