What should a frontend developer know?
Hello everyone and Happy New Year! I wanted to ask more experienced front-end developers what a front-end developer needs to know in order to be a professional, not a junior. I read in the thread that you need to know JS object models, closures, etc. Are there sensible books with a minimum of water to get acquainted with all technologies, etc. for the frontend?

It would be nice to know design patterns (for js) and coffeescript in order to write less code.
To learn more about oops, closures, and other quirks, there are many books. Here are a couple of offhand authors: Eddie Osmani, Douglas Crawford, David Flanagan.
It would also be nice to know preprocessors for css, a couple of template engines, a project build system, or Ruby on Rails.
