What's wrong with Comic Sans?
Good day!
Do not rush to downvote for the title :)
No matter how much I read Habr, and other news and not so publications, I always hear that Comic Sans is some kind of nightmare.
The question is very simple.
Can anyone explain to me, if not a designer, what makes him so bad, what causes such storms of emotions?
And, of course, I understand that it should not be used in a more or less serious program or presentation.
Thanks in advance and sorry if this is a dumb question. I'm really curious.

I think the article on Lurca rips the covers off lurkmore.to/Comic_Sans
I hadn't read it myself before and was looking for a link to a font-hating site (yes, yes, Comic Sans has an anti-fan site!!) and wanted to find a mention that someone- they say that if the font does not lose its popularity, then in the future it will be just everywhere. And as I expected, the article has it all.
In short, the essence of the claims: "Comic Sans immediately caused an uproar among designers, due to its use by anyone and everywhere."
Apparently it is assumed that each font has its own purpose infogra.ru/hires/2012/03/11/1lyi6Fo.png
It is crooked, oblique, looks like it was written with a finger, so it’s disgusting to see it somewhere other than comic book pictures: it creates the feeling of something made on the knee. And with the dominance of the Internet, it became disgusting to see in comics.
To a non-designer from a non-designer: perhaps many people use Comic Sans and it has become pop and immediately turns back on it. When you see comic sans or times new roman on a website, in a presentation, or in an ad on a whiteboard, you immediately think that a person didn’t bother choosing a font, or he has a set of three fonts in the system and he wanted a “fun” font. If comic sans were a normal, strictly-sweeping typeface used in ordinary comics, maybe it would be used somewhere in a serious way. And he's kind of not like that, round or something.
I'm afraid that the answer to the question "why is it ugly" does not exist in principle.
People working with graphics and fonts develop certain tastes in themselves, and then evaluate everything from this point of view. Evaluation is more emotional than logical, so it cannot be explained by logic.
Another irritant is that, for absolutely incomprehensible reasons, customers want Comic Sans. Even when they made the layout, and even the layout, the wish “we want this font” comes up. As practice shows, even if you forget about the wish, then after a while Comic Sans will still appear on the site. Here is such a thing. Magic in general
It is not necessary to read the entire habr, but use the search, at least for your own tags,
