What's up with C# programming?

There was a desire to write in C #, I read a lot saying that this language has a lot of things for Windows, but what about Linux (mint), what difficulties and differences can I face because of my operating system?

C# is extremely object-oriented, all the same, sharpened for products from the Microsoft Net Framework series. You can fall into a black hole, from which only another crutch will help you get out.
I do not advise. Each apple has its own apple tree. =)

There is also Mono, C# is fully supported by Linux.
