What's the best way to store files on a Mac?
I was looking for articles / tips on the topic for two hours - there is nothing, even close, even on Habré. O_o
My entire desktop is littered with different files (work, interesting pictures, phrases, ideas, jokes, programs, archives, screenshots, ...) - I have a garbage dump on my desk :( I took it apart several times, but in the end it comes back, t Yes
, there are regular folders Movies, Music, etc. BUT if I have series (to watch and delete), movies (several times / for collection), funny videos (someday I’ll remember and I’ll show my friend), my video from the rest, etc., then why not store everything in one folder?, and why not create a separate folder for each video?
I tried to create folders for individual areas (Games, Work, Hobbies, Activities, ...) in the Finder column, but in the end I got confused again - the same file can be placed both here and there ... For example, TK from the client can be both in Work and in Interesting ... and how much to store it there? delete - what if you need it later?
I'm drowning in rubbish, help. Only folders with the name "Delete when you find" save a little - I trust and delete such folder names, but you can't delete everything ...

I thought about tags, but I'm afraid to make a mistake at the very beginning - I'll assign tags to 100500 files, and then decide that it was necessary to do not the Interest tag, but Interesting - and what now? change everything?
Or did I make a Diving tag, and then I realized that I had to do Scuba and Scuba - also change? if you just add these tags to the files, then why do I need the Diving tag? after all, he will simply duplicate these two tags and that's all - there will be no sense from him personally ...
