What practices are used when developing character behavior in games?
Good afternoon everyone, I'm far from game development, man, but recently I was asked to develop a small mobile social game and the question was, how? ) For example, a character has a behavior, there are events to which he reacts, plus a bunch of different conditions, depending on which the behavior changes. For me, judging by the description, only one thing is obvious - this is to fence if else, but this is not an option. That's why the occasion wanted to know if there are patterns (namely, a way to organize classes) that are often used? And yes, it is planned to develop on xamarin or on javascript (PhoneGap), where I vaguely imagine how to organize it all.
