What percentage of users put banner cutters?
On one of my client's sites, a block of banners was implemented to draw attention to promotions.
On some computers, pictures from the block are cut with banner cutters and it is impossible to defeat this.
Question: what percentage of users install similar programs and plug-ins? This is to decide whether this audience can be neglected or whether it is worth looking for another solution to the problem.
Answer the question
In order to leave comments, you need to log in
1. Place a banner with the collection of statistics
2. Collect site statistics about entries
3. Divide the number of visits from the site statistics by the number of visits from the banner statistics
4.!!!
5. Get a mathematical ratio, calculate the percentage yourself.
In general, it depends on people, they cut more ads on Habré, less on women's forums, etc.
I keep a number of popular resources of creative and near-creative topics.
It turns out something like this:
In Russia, 5-7%
In other countries, 2-3%
Of these, website design elements are mistakenly cut out along with advertising:
In Russia, about a quarter
In other countries, for some mysterious reason, design elements are not cut out almost at all
Also in In Russia, there are relatively often people who turn off the download of pictures in general (6% in Moscow, 11% in other cities).
In other countries, 3% of people have pictures turned off.
There is no flash on the sites, even in advertising banners.
Change image sizes (no standard 468x60 etc.) and change image paths (no adv, banner in url). In this case, the banner can only be blocked manually by the user.
do a poll on habré))
due to the increased degree of geekiness, the figure will be slightly overestimated, but this is not bad for making the decision you need
Any banner cutter is bypassed, look at the criteria for cutting banners and do not use them and your banners will always be shown.
