What parameters, besides inflation, should be taken into account when choosing a currency for storing money?
Banks offer the best% for deposits in national currency. But it is often recommended to keep money in USD.
Let's give an example for clarity:
the numbers are randomly selected
The bank offers :
9% per annum with RUB.
2% per annum with USD.
Inflation:
7% per annum with RUB.
5% per annum with USD.
Result:
9-7=2% income per year 2-5=
-3
% loss per year
currency.
But are there other factors to consider?
I heard that the following are still playing a role: a) the USA calculates inflation more accurately, the documents are "more open" due to the status of the "reserve currency"; b) There are risks of a "sharp collapse", like 2014, etc. Are these all factors?

In addition to inflation, purchasing power must also be taken into account.
For example, the ruble falls more each year against USD and EUR, and for many goods the cost depends on the euro and the dollar - their price will overtake official inflation => the purchasing power of the ruble will fall more than that of the euro and the dollar.
Even when choosing the currency in which you will keep money, you need to take into account in what currency you earn and spend money, and how often: if you receive rubles and spend rubles too, then it is more profitable to store in rubles too, because with constant currency conversion A lot of money will be spent on paying the commission of the bank.
You need to monitor the situation on the market and maneuver. Personally, I have now bought silver and platinum with all my free money with a 3-year perspective, because I expect a strong devaluation of both the ruble, the dollar and the euro in the next 3 years. It does not constitute individual investment advice.
