What OS can I use to connect thin clients to macOS?

There is a macOS server now thin clients are connected to it (poppies through the Screen Sharing program preinstalled on them) Windows via UltraVNC.
The connection is configured using standard poppy tools (System Preferences - sharing - remote management)
The quality of the connection is not satisfactory. The picture is covered with artifacts, a long response, even when working on a local network.
Is there a more elegant solution? Ready to consider even paid. The main thing is that it works no worse than RDP. Support for multiple users at the same time.
Ideally, if you tell me some kind of OS, something like wtware, which would work on a microcomputer such as ASUS TINKER and support a shameless connection to macOS.
