Moving system folders to another hard drive?
Good time to you, habrazhitel.
I have an optibey with a hard drive in my laptop, and the ssd settled in my native nest. My system has been living on the ssd for a year now and does not buzz, and all sorts of system folders are filled with documents, pictures and downloads.
So, dear habrazhitel, how to transfer only some folders to the hard: Music, Movie, Pictures.
System 10.8.2

Reassign the downloads folder to another one and put it on the panel as it is now ...
And movies and pictures on another screw and that's it.
This should work:
mv $HOME/Music /new/path/Music && ln -s /new/path/Music $HOME/Music
Instead of a folder, you can leave a label on it in the place where it was. It worked for me with steam, otherwise it was not realistic to store it on a system 64 GB disk with its weight of 20 GB and this is just a couple of games
