What OS can be used for reverse-engineering of mobile applications (Android, iOS)?
Hello!
Actually a subject.
Why such a question arose - I have been using Linux for more than 6 years (developer) and I am very satisfied. In the case of development under Windiws, you can use a Wirth wheelbarrow and / or put an adjacent axis. Due to the comfort in use, I don’t want to change Linux (and my laptop, too). In the near future I plan to get acquainted with the reverse of mobile applications in practice and I would like to know - the presence of an Apple car is a prerequisite for reversing and testing mobile applications. applications? A similar question regarding Android - are all utilities under Windows or is it possible to reverse from Linux ?
PS Almost sure that for "Apple needs Apple" , but not quite sure about Android .

makos can also be twisted in a virtual machine. However, I have never tried it on a penguin.
I won’t say anything about ios, but Linux is enough for reversing android applications, even ida is available for Linux, I think there are even more utilities for Linux than for Windows. But you can just as well put a virtual machine if something is missing.
Here is the distributor . But I'm afraid it doesn't update anymore.
