What options did I use to make the kernel boot slowly?

I work on gentoo, using my own built kernel. On kernel 3.0.6 everything was more or less ok ( config and dmesg ). As soon as I switched to 3.3.8, there were 2 delays when loading the kernel each for 5 seconds ( config and dmesg ):

Any comments on the config are also perceived very positively.
