What might be asked in a Windows Server interview?

Hello. One of these days I will be interviewing for the position of a system administrator in a good company. In addition to all of the above, the responsibilities include the following:

- Administration of Windows Server (2008-2012 R2). Services AD, DNS, DFS, GP, WSUS, VPN.
- Working with Microsoft Exchange 2010-13

And since it was with Windows Server that I worked quite a bit, if not to say that I didn’t work at all, I would like to know from experienced system administrators what exactly they can ask about the above? I am sure that they will ask more about the practical part. Could you give me some questions back here, so that I could at least orient myself and prepare in the right direction. Thank you.

I think that in an interview, if not impossible, then definitely very difficult to understand the competence of a system administrator. Yes, you don't know much - it's impossible to know everything, but the receiving party must at least understand your logic, the direction of thinking in solving any problems.
Stupidly everyone can memorize answers to questions, but this is not an indicator at all.
So, your task is to convince them that even if you do not know AD, DNS, DFS, GP, WSUS, VPN, then you have enough brains to understand in which direction and how deep you can dig. "Tools" will give you if you don't have your own.

For some reason they like to ask about FSMO roles very much :-) Their composition, purpose and what will happen if one of them breaks down.

I agree with Athacker, FSMO is a favorite hackneyed topic, although in practice it is set up once and forgotten.

Windows Server questions (the most popular ones I've been asked):
- What are FSMO roles and what are they for?
- What is the difference between transferring FSMO roles and capturing
- Types of groups in AD
- Types of records in DNS and what they are for
- What is DNSSEC
- How to force forced replication between CDs
- What are sites in AD
for - What is DHCP for and how does it work
- How GP
is used Exchange 2013 Questions
- How many roles does Exchange 2013 have
- How to configure mail forwarding
- What is Edge
- How to deal with spam in Exchange
- What is DAG
