What materials would you recommend about designing local networks?

Interested in materials on building medium-sized networks of 30-100 clients. It is advisable to pick up literature for dummies. The literature on server virtualization is also of interest.

I ask here because I am looking for literature specifically for dummies, I hope knowledgeable people will tell you where to find it.

on networks - best of all books on Cisco icnd/ccna/architecture.
for virtualization - depending on what you need - ms hyper-v, xen, kvm, vmware esx, other containers, of which there are enough.
