What material should be read to improve computer literacy?

Hello, I apologize if the question was asked not quite correctly or not on this topic. In general, what is the point.
There is an idea to write a calculator that will assemble a computer according to the input data, i.e. the user indicates the price and tasks for which the computer should be sharpened (toys, work in Photoshop, etc.), but I do not have enough knowledge in terms of the hardware itself.
There are good skills in assembling / disassembling and cleaning the PC, but narrow knowledge is not enough. That is, what are the timings in the RAM, what do they affect, etc., what are the cores where the video card has and how important they are in a particular job.
This knowledge is needed to write the application logic, which, based on this data, will make an assembly for the user.
If I managed to describe the question, please throw off the material that you think can help writing the program.
