It’s unlikely to pass for a little-known tip & trick, just advice - work on multiple monitors.
We open a document on the main monitor, move the second window with the same document to the second one, turn on the outline mode, hide some layers, make an overview of all artboards, and so on - the possibilities are endless.
By the way, this is what can pass for a tip & trick. On one monitor there can be a document with a bunch of technical layers (guides, templates, marks, etc.), and on the second we do something like an export preview. If you start the export from the second window (File > Export or Save for Web), then only the layers that are included in this window will be visible in the final picture. To do this, it is not necessary to have two monitors (you can get by with the division of windows), with two it is simply clearer.
