I am not from FIVT, but there are many acquaintances from there. Physics at the FIVT is standard for the Physicotechnical Institute in the direction of the FIVT PMF and shortened at the FIVT PMI. Nevertheless, acquaintances broadcast that it is easier to study at the PMF, because it is almost impossible for children who are NOT winners of All-Russian and international Olympiads to study at PMI - programming is too hellish.
For data analysis, the same FICT is suitable, as well as FUPM, Mekhmat and VMK MGU, FKN HSE. It is not necessary to enroll in these three universities - there are many worthy alternatives where there is no clear link to data analysis, but you will not have to finish your studies so much. In the end, now data analysis is partly a hype topic due to the next boom of neural networks, but the theoretical component of data analysis has been studied for a long time and is not a new discipline, it is just the theory of multivariate statistical analysis.
