Start learning languages well with python - easy to learn and good coding style. Quite in demand, although inferior to C #, Java.
Python is used in both web and desktop development. The language is very pleasant and inspires to program in it.
First, decide on a direction. But programmers are different. Someone writes for hardware, someone for boards, someone for gadgets, someone for databases, someone for the web. Etc.
Initially, you need to decide on the vector of motion. And already from the choice, look at the optimal and popular languages \u200b\u200bunder it.
So you can write in assembler for the web. Or on php under iron.
Any
perspective of a person does not depend on the language, they depend on the person
And why the profession of a system administrator does not suit you? Quite a great profession.
And promising languages are Java, Python, PHP. Choose what you like best and what you want to program.
I would start learning Python, because it will come in handy at my current job.
And then it all depends on which direction you are going to go. If WEb, then you can stay on Python, if something else, then Java. If you are going to get a job as a programmer not right tomorrow, I would study Rust.
