What language should I learn for desktop software?

Actually, after Delphi and Pascal, which are already fed up, what language is worth learning to develop software for desktop systems? I don't know any other languages except Delphi and Pascal.

For Windows - C# or C++/Qt, for linux - C++/Qt.
Many delphists have already successfully switched to C# and do not complain.
