What is the situation with licensed software?

I'm in my last year at the university, I'm gradually gaining knowledge so that I can go to work as an Enike team in the summer. I am considering the possibility of choosing administration as a future profession.
But only 1 moment repels - the same licensed software. Tell me how is the situation with him in Moscow companies today? And how realistic is it really to "get a hat" for illegal software?

It all depends very much on the company. Large companies purchase licenses in most cases, because corny there are funds for this, there are security policies. Small sharagi, young promising companies quite pirate, pirate everything - OS, office suite, all kinds of Kerio products.
And it’s quite realistic to get a hat, the blame will be completely on you, the general will deny that it was you who installed and broke the software, he just told you “make a workplace” without going into any details.
In terms of responsibility, you can watch a lot of videos on YouTube, where "vagrant" enikei roar about how they got slapped in the ass for installing left-handed software, after a certain amount of money, the administrative is replaced by a criminal, it usually doesn’t get to real landings for the first time, but also conditional term is also not sugar.
In short, I highly recommend not to climb into those places where they use the left software.

Realistic: Use of unlicensed software in an organization, who is responsible?

Easy and casual. And not only in Nerezinovoy, on the periphery too. They especially like to blow for Russian software - 1C, abbey, compass ... They love "heavy" things like autodesk or adoba no less - they will immediately be "in especially large" :)
And the situation is such that nothing can be done about it. The administrator, as a responsible person, immediately finds himself at risk. Previously, many advised to write a service in the name of the director. Well, you can write it only if you immediately write a letter of resignation - because a criminal conspiracy immediately arises :)
In general - don’t touch g..but - you won’t stink :)

It is unlikely that a large business does not provide for a verification scenario. Finding an office where all the software purchased is not so difficult. Especially Windows, and other software is not really worth space money (well, even an extra monthly salary for a workplace, well, two ..., often less). Yes, and with total piracy, there would be no software market, and even more so, software manufacturers simply would not exist. But there is a market, there are manufacturers, there are conferences on software accounting. And besides, there are many branches of Western companies that will not substitute their brand and company reputation.
But in general, it’s better not to go to a small office, not only for this reason, but because there are fewer skills.
And of course, potentially less money, less career growth. Being an admin of 300 computers is not the same as 20..
If in general the order is, then you can use special software to track who has what and knock the user on the head. In principle, this is also one of the duties of the administrator.
