What is the entry threshold for a tester now?
a good friend graduated from some courses and asks me for advice on how to move forward
from what he knows how to write test cases and check UI / UX with their hands and write
any programs to the bugtracker he doesn’t know

If we talk about hard-skills, the entry threshold is not high. But the competition is huge. In order to somehow stand out from the background of other candidates, knowing only the theory is not enough. You need good knowledge of test design and minimal automation skills, at least be able to write API tests.
