Use the font Verdana, among many other fonts, it differs in that it has no serifs, and this is already less stress on the smooth when reading from the screen, the second one takes up the largest area from the allocated space for the character.

If it's simple: 8-10 words per line. If for some reason you suddenly need more, then the line spacing should be greater (so that with long lines the eye does not “slip” to other lines, but exactly follows the “current” line).
