What is the name of the most read book on TAU (Automatic Control Theory)

Hello!
Please advise a book on the theory of automatic control (from basic concepts to the synthesis of linear control systems), which has evidence (for example, various stability criteria) and really analyze them. Thanks

The answer to the question from the title will be "TAU for Dummies"
I will not give a definite answer to the question from the comment, because I myself would like to receive it. So far, I see a way of reading everything that is understood and further attempts to synthesize everything that is interesting. Although there are many Soviet books on the design of certain devices, most often of a military orientation, where first the linear equations of the object are given and then regulators are synthesized based on them.
