Is it possible to study mathematics for ML using books from the series "Mathematics at a technical university"?

Hello.
Is it possible to study mathematics for ML using books from the "Mathematics at a Technical University" series? It seems that all the necessary sections of mathematics are presented, but in questions about mathematical literature, for some reason, they always advise something else (for mathematical analysis - Zorich, for linal - Vinberg or Kostrikin). The same is true in the recommendations for the SAD literature.
Can knowledgeable people explain why the books of the above-named series are bad?
Thanks in advance.

Mathematics is the same. And different books just present it differently: different arguments, different styles of presentation, slightly different sequence of topics, different accents, different depth of discussion of specific topics, etc. There are no best and worst books (by the way, and video courses - too). Different people individually may be more suited to the style of one book or lecturer, others to others. It’s not a fact that if someone here writes “this is a super tutorial”, then it will work for you. And vice versa, if someone says "sucks" - then we do not know if this book is bad, or the brains of the writer were simply not able to perceive it.
So if you have a choice - just try. Take one book, study it, see how the material “enters” into your head. If everything is OK, then good. Something went "wrong" - try another book.
If suddenly later you discover that some piece of knowledge that your friend turned out to need was not in the textbook you studied from - and this happens, and not infrequently - then it is precisely "later" that you will "get" the missing material on some other source. It will be inapplicable, but it will be strong "later".
Another thing is that self-study, obviously (on the issue) - "from scratch", this is a very difficult and thorny path. And frankly, not many are able to master it. But let's assume that you are one of those few. Good luck.
