In my opinion, CMS are generally overrated, if you need a little more than the standard functionality, then I would take a fast framework (Phalcon) and write everything on it.
Because finishing what you yourself wrote is much easier than CMS, and faster.
UPD. Although, I looked at read.ru, nothing special, everything is standard, take OpenCart, or Magento.

Writing large and highly loaded projects on open CMS is, in my opinion, a bad form rule. All these products are aimed at covering as many tasks as possible (at the same time), and therefore heavy and heavy. Besides with a scratch give in to any human optimization.
Write with your hands. Such a product is easier to maintain and develop.

Magento is enough. But as already written, it’s better from scratch on some Symfony2 / Laravel4 / Yii framework
