What is the most "new" desktop Linux distribution for Cubietruck?

I have a Cubietruck board (Cubieboard 3) running a Cubian distribution based on the old Debian Wheezy.
Accordingly, the software has already grown old (5 years ago) and I want to install something newer. The Cubian project itself is not updated.
Googling did not really give anything, only distribution kits 4 years ago.
Is there something newer?
