What is the maximum rotation time of the Hdd spindle? - what is the life of the bearings?
- Let's simulate the situation, Hdd is not used. But the spindle is spinning, how much will it spin before it wears out? 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?

30-50 years old. However, HGST promise 228 years

There is a PowerOnHours attribute in the smart, so it issues the Fail status (and the whole smart, respectively) after, it seems, 50 thousand hours (for a desktop screw, I won’t say the exact model). That is less than 6 years of continuous operation.
