What is the easiest way to write a cross-platform application for android and ios?

I wrote something in python using the kivy framework, but the assembly is somehow very dreary.
Is there anything better in this regard?
People seem to write in Cordova, but how does the application feel after the build and are there many problems with compilation?
Please do not spam and give detailed working solutions, thanks in advance for the answers.
