What is the difference between using SDXC and microSDXC in photos?
I was asked to buy a full-sized sdxc for a camera that is being filmed. Getting such a card is much more problematic than a similar microsdxc. They insist on a big one, because it has already been tested many times. I argue that there is the same company micro and much cheaper. I do not see a particular problem in using an adapter, but maybe it is critical in permanent video recording? Enlighten me please.

There is no problem in using an adapter, especially since devices have already gone on sale into which a full-size flash drive simply does not fit.
But the speed may be different. The Chinese like to sell brake flares, labeling them as fast, you should pay attention to this when buying, because. otherwise, you can get thoughtfulness when taking pictures and a complete inability to record video.
If the adapter and the card are working, there is no difference. But people do not stop believing in stupid myths, of course.
Well, don’t buy a hell of a manufacturer (this is a lottery) and frankly fake.
Yes, micro-cards often cost a few percent less, because they use four times less textolite and plastic.
I strongly disagree with the use of MicroSDXC through an adapter. I think that marked as the correct answer is fundamentally wrong!
1. With active use through the adapter, the contacts heat up;
2. More current consumption due to contact resistance - the battery runs out faster;
3. Electronics - the science of contacts. The more contacts, the lower the reliability. Moreover, there is no smell of gold-plated contacts for a long time, not 60-70 years ...
PS From personal experience. I am a professional photographer, I live in Odessa ( https://vkadr.com/fotograf-v-odesse/ ).
Very often you need to urgently change the card, usually everything happens in a hurry, you need to catch a frame. Especially at a wedding. And imagine that you start to get the adapter out of the camera, and then change the microscopic card in the adapter in a hurry? Drop, lose, break - just spit!
