What is the difference between quora.com and answers.mail.ru and google.answers?
What do you think is the key feature of quora.com, and how is this site different from other Q&A sites? What is better and what is worse?
I went over the email replies - there are a bunch of very short replies and about nothing, and cuor has large detailed answers. And then the question arose, how did quora manage to achieve this?

Actually the question is old, but I'll try to answer anyway.
The quality of Quora was first of all determined from the very beginning. And the mode of operation (closed, then the invite system), then the environment of the company. But the matter is different. There is a very important document there: the usefulness policy... According to which 98% of the answers of people who answer on the Mail will be hidden. They are not very useful, not only to the one who asked the question, but also to the one who will read it in the future. This is the essence of Quora policy.
For example, the top answer: they select experts is not very useful and will probably be hidden on Quore.
Give examples of these experts, how they are recruited, do you personally know how you got on Quora? Here are the answers Quora wants.
It was built like this. We have been taught to respond differently. Thanks to Mile, well, or other chat forums.
Quality turns into quantity. People began to respect this place and off we go... It was originally planned that way. In Russia, I think we will repeat this soon ...)
