What is the difference between 127.0.0.1 and 0.0.0.0?
Hello! I have addresses in the hosts file for blocking Windows telemetry, as well as analytics and advertising. If 127.0.0.1 is registered for most addresses, then 0.0.0.0 is registered to block the telemetry of Windows itself. This address was registered by the program for blocking Windows telemetry. Can anyone explain what is the difference? Maybe using 0.0.0.0 is more secure than 127.0.0.1?
For example:
0.0.0.0 watson.microsoft.com.nsatc.net
0.0.0.0 spynet2.microsoft.akadns.net
0.0.0.0 spynet2.microsoft.com

It would be better if they were 0.0.0.0, since this address does not exist.
But 127.0.0.1 refers to your computer, and it can answer something if the site works on your computer. Or the web interface of some program, for example.
127.0.0.1 is a special address that points to the loopback interface of the local machine.
0.0.0.0 is a special non-routable address pointing to a non-existent host. But sometimes it is also all local IP addresses of all interfaces.
There is no particular difference what exactly to enter in hosts.
