What is the best way to virtualize IT infrastructure in a small company?

We do not currently have a server in our office and each employee works on his own local computer. I decided to virtualize this whole kitchen so that each employee would log in from his physical machine to a virtual one located on the server and do his work in it. At the very least, I hope that this will make it easier to create backups and reduce downtime in case of any problems with local computers. There are about 10 local machines in total.
Are there any problems with my plan and what should I pay attention to first of all?

yes, now imagine your server is crashing: before that, one employee fell out of work, and now the whole office will stop. And I doubt that you will be allowed to install 2 servers (+1 backup), given that you have only 10 jobs.
